Food Grade Storage
A quality warehouse is an invaluable link between the food manufacturer and the consumer. The warehouses must pass rigorous evaluations and adhere to precise guidelines in order to operate. Food storage warehouses must adhere to strict quality controls. These buildings cannot have leaks in the roof, walls, or edges of the foundation. Damage to the exterior of the building such as cracks, holes, and open pipes. Cleaning agents, pesticides, and other chemicals are not allowed in the vicinity of the storage area with food products. Food packaging is also sensitive to odors so safeguards should be taken to avoid any off odor absorption.
We’re happy to say we can provide all of the most common types of prepackaged dry food-grade storage and strictly follow McKenna’s 4 Principles for Food Grade Storage: Personal Hygiene and Training, Pest Control, Sanitation Schedule, and Lot Traceability.
Food Packaging
eCommerce fulfillment is something we do quite well. Once we’ve received your prepackaged food, either from you, or the manufacturer, we properly store it until the next step. The next step is typically our systems waiting for the order to come in through whichever shopping cart platform you have your customers using. Once the order comes in a pick ticket is created. We use barcode scanners to ensure accuracy. The order is sent to our packing stations where the order is again scanned to ensure even more accuracy. The order is then carefully boxed and included is you customized pack list. Finally, it’s labeled and sent to the appropriate carrier. Shipping data is then sent back to your shopping cart in real time so your customers can monitor their order status.
Shipping Food
We work with UPS, FedEx, USPS, and others to expedite shipping directly to your customers. If you’re shipping to a retail location, we can put your food on a truck and get it there efficiently and safely.
